And we are now 9 days away from playing live at the big Tommy Head/Living Water Int’l benefit show. It goes down on Saturday April 16th at 6pm at the Aroma Underground coffee house on the Pamplico Hwy. Got the “A Team” with me again – Jason Ridenhour on bass and Greg Dampier on drums… at this point I consider us an official band as we have embarked on the writing process together - hopefully we are gonna be debuting the first true collab at the T Head show. We have been tossing a couple of ideas around and trading files over the net so hopefully something will gel by next weekend. Either way it is sure to be a joyous show – I plan to have a ton of fun and play my guitar like my life depends on it! Come on out of you can!

I even got to participate in an artist Q&A session with the audience followed by a meet and greet and autograph signing. #3 – I got to reconnect with some old family friends. Marie and Scott Miller are brother/sister with whom I spent much of my childhood. In fact, Scott is the person I claim as my primary musical influence. It was Scott that opened my eyes to the brave new world of guitars and big rock music… and, to my utter delight, I got a chance to see him play in his band The Arrogant Bastards doing an amazing set of Les Paul-soaked, testosterone-fueled, vintage guitar rock.

This weekend was one for the books…
